Michael Ortega, President of CDC Builders, oversees all company performance including business development, marketing and financials with special emphasis on safety and quality control. He joined CDC in 1998 and has since lead the Construction Company through a period of tremendous growth in size and profitability.

Most recently, Michael launched the construction of Eloquence on the Bay, a 20-story structure composed of 120 residences including lofts and penthouses; Villas at Bay Harbour, 18 four-story condominiums located in Bay Harbor Island; and Riviera Development, 8 two-story luxury homes in the heart of Coral Gables, FL.

In addition, he previously directed the undertaking of the renovation of many of South Florida’s most prestigious hotels including the spa, ballroom and common areas of the Ritz Carlton Key Biscayne; Coral Gables Westin Colonnade’s ballrooms; the Hilton McAlpin Hotel in Miami Beach’s Art Deco District; and a new 245-room hotel in Hollywood Beach, FL.

Michael, a Certified General Contractor in the State of Florida, is a Florida State University alumnus with a Bachelors Degree in Finance. Today, he continues to further his education as an active participant in a national Peer Group along with eight other colleagues from various companies. His partaking in this group helps him learn more about the rapidly changing construction industry, best practices and the implementation of creative ideas and strategies.
    
Michael also commits himself to the support of various local organizations. As a board member of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Michael helps enrich the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through wish-granting.

He also supports Shake-A-Leg Miami, a charitable organization that helps children and adults with physical, developmental and economic challenges learn sailing boating and water sports.
