September 08, 2009

The company's team has raised over $65,000 since 2006 for the fight against Multiple Sclerosis. CDC Builders, a leading South Florida general contractor and construction management firm believes in giving back to the community we work and live in. For the fourth consecutive year, CDC Builders once again participated in the South Florida MS Walk and was recently recognized as one of the top five Best Fundraising Teams for 2009. In the four years that the company’s been involved, CDC has raised more than $65,000 for the fight against the disease, an autoimmune condition that affects the body’s central nervous system. CDC President Michael Ortega was inspired to support the cause after his own sister was diagnosed with the disease a few years back. With the support of associates, colleagues, friends and relatives it is an opportunity for all to come together, as one team, to help raise money for the foundation. “Year after year, I continue to be amazed at the level of commitment and support CDC receives for the walk,” said Ortega. “I’m very grateful not just to those who were present during the event, but to all who made generous contributions by sponsoring our team. We’re all looking forward to the day when a cure is found, for the sake of my sister and for all who are affected with this terrible condition.” To learn more about the MS Society visit http://www.nationalmssociety.org/fls
