Rick Ake, Vice President, Supports Walk Now For Autism SpeaksJuly 18, 2011 Maria Braun's son was diagnosed with autism and like so many other parents, she works hard to help her son, while hoping for a cure. Rick Ake, Vice President, has known the Braun family for years. Having been moved by the family's difficult circumstances, Rick requested support from CDC Builders and he got it. The Brauns were participating in the Walk Now for Autism Speaks event in Des Moines. The walks serve as fundraisers for the non-profit organization Autism Speaks. CDC Builders' staff from across all departments and their family members pledged $1,250.00. Through Rick's efforts in garnering support for the Walk, as well as through his own contributions, Ms. Braun was moved to tears and was very thankful for everyone's support. Through the years, CDC Builders and its employees have shown a commitment to charities and other organizations. Rick's actions speak loudly and we thank him for leading this effort.
