CDC Name

The name CDC Builders evolved from Charleston Place, a110-unit residential community in Boca Raton that was built in the early 1980s by Charleston Development Corporation, the first in a series of successful ventures led by Jose A. Ortega. Charleston Place was designed by Duany Plater-Zyberk and earned an Honor Award for design from the American Institute of Architects in 1982. The reputation CDC Builders enjoys today is based on our commitment to the exceptionally high standards that distinguish Charleston Place, and that continue in every aspect of our current operations.
